Fields Model Day with AIMO Winners and Organisers: 21 July 2026

News

We will have the pleasure of hosting at NII a prominent line-up of researchers in reasoning and mathematical AI around the AIMO Prize.

AIMO Prize (https://aimoprize.com) is a prominent $10M competition in mathematical AI. It is one of the biggest competitions in the history of Kaggle — this year, it attracted over 4,000 participating teams and awarded over $2.5M in prizes.

On Tuesday, 21 July, from 10:00, we organise an event called Fields Model Day, where everyone will have a chance to meet and learn from AIMO organisers and local winners who will present their findings.

Everyone is warmly welcome to attend any part of the program.

Speakers at the event will include:

– Simon Frieder (University of Oxford), the main AIMO organiser

– Yi-Chia Chen (Waseda University), the winner of AIMO MathCorpus Prize and ProofPilot Prize

– Shuhei Kobayakawa, author of the 3rd best-performing solution in the main AIMO track

– Kosuke Nakago (Sakana AI) presenting the technologies behind a solution of a highly-ranked Sakana AI team

– Sho Sonoda (RIKEN) giving an overview of Theorem Proving & AI4Math Research in Japan
